COUNT ME OUT England’s smallest county will be wiped off map forever under biggest council shake-up in half a century

ENGLAND’S smallest county is set to disappear from the map under the biggest local government shake-up in more than 50 years. The overhaul will see Rutland County Council abolished and replaced by a larger authority stretching around Leicester, as ministers redraw council boundaries.
